Course Prerequisites
Age/Educational Requirements
There
is no age minimum for enrollment, however the student will be expected to
understand and read English, as well as to be mathematically proficient at the
8th grade level.
There is no requirement that the student
have any prior economic, financial or other educational background, other than
perhaps the ability to accurately replace batteries in a calculator and balance
a checkbook.
Psychological Requirements
The student will be expected to genuinely and sincerely want to become debt
free and prosperous, and will necessarily need to make a commitment to immerse
him or herself in all covered course materials.
Class Schedule
All live teleconference classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday nights at
9:00PM U.S. Eastern time, enhanced with a white board computer conferencing
system. Classes last one hour. At approximately 5 minutes before class is
schedule to begin, you will login to the white board conference system and
dialing a long distance telephone number. Therefore, you will need to be able to
access the Internet and simultaneously speak on the telephone. See notes on
white board and telephony below.
Computer & Telephony
The software we use is intended to run on a PC. We regret that we cannot support
Apple and Macintosh. The student will need a DSL, cable or other broadband
Internet connection -- i.e. something faster than 56K dialup. The student who
lacks faster access should consider arranging to take all classes at a computer
with faster Internet access.
Through the use of a white board computer
conferencing system, the student will be able to see the instructor's desktop,
displayed live and in real-time, on his or her own desktop. The white board can
be accessed from any computer by clicking on a link we will provide, using a web
browser such as Microsoft's Internet Explorer. No software download or
installation is necessary, however the student will need to know how to
temporarily remove or disable any popup blockers.
Pre-Class and Class Support
Students with any questions pertaining to telephony, Internet access, web
browsers, accessing the white board system, or other computer issues are welcome
to contact the webmaster for The Institute Of Higher Earning at
webmaster@instituoteofhigherearning.com.
